The 26 best winery hotels in Finger Lakes (2024)

The casino del Lago Resort is a sprawling property boasting luxurious rooms and suites, a shopping area called the Galleria del Lago, and nine restaurants and bars. It's perfect for couples who want to stay in one place without having to leave the grounds. The casino has ample parking and is strategically located between Ontario and the Finger Lakes regions.

A great time watching Cooper Alan and a great time @del Lago😀everyone very friendly. Check in and out quick and with ease. Food good. Lots of restrooms and lots of beverage stations offering free- unlimited coffee, tea, and soda. Safe. Mini fridge. Parking free and easily accessible to hotel. Downfall no winnings and no pool 🤷‍♀️

Your shows are fantastic, Ginger Billy was the latest my wife and I got to enjoy. Your gaming is phenomenal. I appreciate being able to walk out with a little $$$ without being a high roller, unlike other local casinos. I miss the buffet, but under the circ*mstances of public health, I understand. Thank you again for another wonderful experience.

Today, we checked in at around 3:40 pm by Jessika. Can’t remember her last name, but hopefully the Manager will know by time and date, who she is. She was Wonderful and Very Pleasant. Upon learning we were celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary, she got approval to upgrade our room. What a Wonderful experience right from the start. We unfortunately didn’t win any money but felt like winners with room upgrade. Thank you for making our Wedding Anniversary a Wonderful one Jessika, we Appreciated you♥️

Just returned from a one night stay. I don't gamble. The main reason I booked was because I went to a concert at del Lago and didn't want to drive back to Rochester at 11pm. The vine gets a lot of big name performers and the venue is nice. The hotel room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. My main complaint is the value for the price. The hotel room was close to $400. I suspect the price was so high because it was a Saturday night and due to high demand as a result of the concert. Aside from gambling there is little to do. I'm not interested in the spa. There are only 2 restaurants. I normally would like to try the buffet but it's seems their buffet never reopened after COVID. Wish there was a pool or something other than gambling. The town of Seneca falls is about a 10 minute drive and has some things to see. There's another hotel just 5 minutes down the road which is half the price. I would go again to see a show but I would likely book one of the other area hotels.

We were at the VINE showroom for Matt Rife and I have to say the venue was great. Now for the seats we bought being right up ground I would have at least expected cup holders being that there is a bar located right at the entrance of the showroom, but there were not. There are some in the cheaper seats. But none in the front sections. And I did get kinda hot in there after everyone piled in. It was sold out of course, but since AC would have been nice. Otherwise it was an amazing experience overall!

Nice rooms and enjoy the events they bring to the Vine but rarely stay at the hotel as they jack up the prices every time there's an event there. I'm just not paying $400 to stay in a room when there are plenty of other places to stay 5 miles away.Shame they don't keep the prices reasonable year around. I'd think they'd want to encourage people to stay there so they'll spend money gambling, on food & drinks, etc. I'd love to come in and spend the day there before a concert and be able to hang out in a room if prices were more reasonable.Maybe consider offering discounts for people that have bought concert tickets?Nice place but I'd suggest staying elsewhere if there is an event going on as you can stay for 1/2 the price at the Hampton or other hotels in the Seneca Falls area.

Just went to the casino for some fun. Really nice people. The table games and craps were fun and the dealers were great. Very patient with us newbies. Then those shiny machines took all my winnings! 😉. How I love to have the big wheel spin!!

Recently taken a turn for the worse. Absolutely no customer service. Gaming is good. Dealers are friendly; but the amenities are junk. "Resort Casino", where is the resort exactly? No activities, no pool. Just a Casino attached to a "Holiday Inn". Last visit, ordered dinner in their restaurant as I have many times before - preparation was different and disgusting to me, so I sent the dish back. Still got billed. Had an issue with their credit service where some correspondence sat in their mail room for two weeks before being handled - issue took two on-premise visits to resolve. Casino host 'comped' us a dinner - told us to bill it to our room and it would be taken care of - charge hit my credit card and e-mail to the casino host has gone unanswered.

Stopped here for a comedy show. Great selection of games. The service was lack luster, took longer to get a drink than make a round to see all the games. They need to get a better strategy for their event management. The line is absolutely horrible and the wait times to get into The Vine, their performance venue was longer than 50 minutes. This is atrocious compared to other casinos in the area and even Vegas… I’d be happy to connect with management to share suggestions to increase their event entrance and exit strategies.

This wasn’t our first stay but possibly the best. Everyone was friendly throughout the hotel and casino. Especially the staff at the Farmers Market Express, whom I feel took particularly good care of us right before closing. The room we stayed in, as we expected, didn’t disappoint. It was inviting and provided everything we needed. The bed was ridiculously comfortable and the shower is possibly the best part. Not to mention the scent of the shower necessities and hand lotion, which delightfully you can smell throughout the casino, are intoxicating! We played a good amount of time on the machines. We didn’t come out ahead but had some good hits and enjoyed ourselves. Also the upgrade to the smoking section was much appreciated. Thank you del lago for another great anniversary getaway!

Super comfortable and large room but the AC did not cool well. We were only left 2 towels and being there 2 nights our room was not serviced or garbage removed. Be aware there is a long walk to the elevators. The cafe is convenient and reasonably priced. Overall good value for the money.

Did not stay. Attempted to take my wife children to dinner after shopping at the outlet malls. Was immediately shooed away at the door and told we had to go through the hotel to access restaurants. Walked through hotel only to find that we could only eat at cafe because all other restaurants are on gaming floor, (which we obviously could not access because our children are under 21) What a missed opportunity. I have taken my family to several casinos to eat and NEVER had this issue before. Other casinos are properly laid out and recognize that consumers enjoy a nice dining experience as well and will travel there specifically for the dining.

My partner and I have stayed here twice now taking advantage of member perk free nights. Service is great, rooms are big and clean, 10/10The hotel location is good with a short drive to Seneca lake and other Finger Lakes draws. The views aren't remarkable at the hotel itself with the thruway right there, but we rarely pay to stay and are usually only in the room to sleep or get ready, so we aren't fussed with it. Lots of restaurants are nearby in Waterloo and Geneva as well.A lot of the fast food option restaurants in the casino cafeteria are open late late too, which is nice if you get the munchies before bed (or after a long night of gambling).

Loved going to the Vine theater. Good atmosphere and the seating are in such a way that no one's head is in your way. My only con was that the drinks were watered-down. Will definitely go back.

Though, I always lose my money, this is one of my favorite casinos. I haven’t stayed in the hotel yet. Walking in the door, the casino smells clean. Almost like hand soap. The greeters were pleasant. I did go to Smash Burger for dinner. It was DELICIOUS. I couldn’t even finish it. I ordered the Original Smash (well done), Sweet Potato Fries and a Cookies n Cream milkshake. Everything was made to perfection. Nice staff, as well.

We needed to layover while waiting for a load. The room was nice! I enjoyed it very much. Wonderful waterfall shower and it was clean. Casino was fun but only because we won $$$! No shows while we were there but people watching was fantastic. I did not like the steakhouse. Blew $220 for mediocre steak. The other dishes looked and tasted better than my steak. Sad. 😔Friendly staff, nice variety of food offerings in food court area, clean casino with a majority non-smoking (small enclosed smoking area). Will definitely go back again!

I've been going there for years, before and after covid. They always took my money, I don't think they pay the percentage there supposed to. Never brought the buffet back and l have ask every time there. Me and my wife loved the buffet.so we go to other casinos now! The place what's to give you stupid gifts now to keep you happy.they can't have buffet because they store all the gifts where there should be a buffet. Very sad! Rooms are never available.

100% the moat comfortable bed I have ever slept in. While I didn’t have any luck at all at the casino, the staff was friendly, everything was clean, and worth repeating, most comfortable beds ever! Bathroom was spacious. Great room for the money.

For under $100/night, we had the BEST DATE NIGHT/DAY! What a great way to reconnect. From reservations to checkout, it was a great 24 hours.Hotel, gambling, Smahburgers, dessert chili dog, shopping & museums...The deluxe suite was the size of 3 regular rooms! We have NO COMPLAINTS, & will be back!

The room is very nice. Comfy beds. Great staff. Crystal and Marcy at the front desk was very helpful and nice. The housekeeper Alexandra was very nice also. The location of the hotel is very close to a lot of restaurants and the casino has easy access from your room. I highly recommend. A+

We had our company Christmas party here and they did a wonderful job. The staff was friendly and professional, the drinks were delicious, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was fun and festive. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Our room was beautiful and very clean. The spa was amazing. The only issue I had was the toilets are so low. I have knee problems so getting up is an issue. Not a big deal though. All employees were pleasant and helpful. Food was good.

Check in was easy, elevators have key security, and everything appears new.The rooms were aesthetically pleasing but functional. The bathroom was also pretty cool looking but functional. Separate doors for the toilet from the shower. And oh! The shower! In all my days of traveling it had to be the best shower I have ever taken!Definitely will be back!

Bobby Bulger — Google review

The place seems to be run down and understaffed. Very dirty, more then half the stalls in the bathroom were out of order. The bar tender was very rude, just a very unprofessional ran place. People are spending money and come to enjoy them selfs and the staff treats you like they are annoyed you're there. I personally don't gamble much this place was very depressing. The room was okay nothing special, other peoples hair left in the shower, the bed was comfortable though.

Went to see Matt Rife comedy show and decided to stay in the hotel overnight. I was extremely happy with the size of my standard king size room. Everything was clean and new. I was only disappointed that there was no mini bar and that calling room service didn't actually do anything, I had to just call the restaurant. Also the room service hours were not great. I was seeing a 930pm show and wasn't out until 11pm, but the room service stops at 10pm. I enjoyed the casino itself, even though I'm not much of a gambler, I had a lot of fun. I definitely want to return to use their spa services and stay overnight again. It was pricey for a Wednesday night stay ($400+), but I loved it!!

Wife and I have been coming here since it opened. Originally, before Covid, it was a good time with lots of good food, good perks, decent free play, and decent odds. Since about 2019 though its gone downhill. The slots are tighter than heck, the table games are all $15 minimum bet, and worst of all they STILL have not reopened the buffet! We broke down and went to Turning Stone last week. Yeah, their slots are just as tight, but at least they have a lot of dining options including a newly refurbished buffet - and funny thing, it almost is a clone of the better buffet Del Lago used to have! At $36 a head there was a line of 250+ ppl to get in - come on Del Lago - time to revamp the buffet and get it open again!

We ate at the Sociale. The menu looked good. The salads were good. Food was cold when we got it. My husband had steak, which was tasteless and tough. One person had their fried chicken. It was dry, and the gravy seemed to come from a can. We had 3 small desserts (brookies and banana cake) which seemed quite stale. All in all, a less than average meal to the tune of $150 plus a tip.

A great resort. The staff is great it is well laid outLots of machines. The rooms are a little dated but clean. I like the drink order feature on all of the machines. I definitely would recommend a visit to Del Lago

We saw a great show here, Claudia Hoyser was fabulous. We ate at the sports bar which was only fair, we do not recommend the potato skins, the bar tenders were great. This facility is clean and fun. My rating for the room is from a previous stay. My husband won lots of money this visit!

i was there tonight for the matt rife show at the vine. the staff members at the bar & ushers were so incredibly rude & talked throughout the e n t i r e show! when you spend that much money on a ticket only for the experience to be degraded by that. i understand that they need to do their work, but the bar should absolutely close for any headlining act. this would be a 1 star review, however, the toilet paper in the bathrooms is very soft; that’s a redeeming factor.

We stayed Super Bowl weekend and loved every minute of it. Room clean and well kept; staff accommodating and informed; food and drink a little pricey but well made. Best part: no extra charge for our granddaughter and she was allowed to go anywhere in the place so long as she was with us.

This casino has gone downhill terribly. There is just nothing there anymore it’s a ghost town it’s so sad too. Rooms are just awful now we will never stay again. Nothing is open there. No one goes anymore there was like no one there. No buffet. Casino closes at night and until the morning. Very creepy there you don’t feel safe. It’s gone downhill just so bad.

I thought the games on the casino floor were somewhat outdated. It was my first time there and I won a jackpot. The attendant/staff were courteous. I enjoyed a few hours there (not just because I won).I didn't stay at the hotel nor did I dine there but it looked like they had a nice nice variety of dining options.

So for me the location is great because I live in central New York and have a family cottage on Cayuga Lake so I literally drive by the casino anytime I travel to my cottage.Generally I did not gamble actually I have only been there twice. First time I lost $60 in about 5 minutes and I turned out around and walked out the door the second time I stopped on the way back home spur of the moment and ended up $200 at the roulette table although I didn't walk away when I should have. But I didn't lose any money and I had fun so I had a mixed experience. I figure I'll give it another shot sometime this summer and we'll see how it goes.In terms of service that is very good both times, I have never stayed in a room so can't comment on that, and the location for me is perfect because like I mentioned I drive by it.

Really nice variety of machines; while they are mostly newer they do have a few older ones which I personally appreciate. They finally changed how to get your free play which is huge because their kiosks are the worst. Service if you are stuck on a machine is slow though. They have great coffee available for self-service at the beverage stations. Plenty of bathrooms. A lot of parking and several entrances. It's right off of the thruway exit so it's convenient to get to.

We had a nice room with a bathroom that was bigger than our home bathroom with double sinks a separate vanity and a very nice shower. When we walk into the room they have a motion detector and most of the lights come on. When you open the double closet, lights also come on in there. King size bed very comfortable however the pillows were a little much for me, but that's my preference. We did not play, we were there for the eclipse. The front desk person was very professional. That was probably the most interaction we had a part from the restaurant we had dinner in which I reviewed separately. A good place to stay if you are interested in the finger lakes area.you to are near Cayuga lake and about 15 mins or so to Geneva and even closer to Seneca Falls.
